LETTER FROM THE VP OF RECRUITMENT
Joining Alpha Phi in my first year of university was one of the best decisions I have ever made! The transition between highschool and secondary education is something that no one can prepare you for, and the thought of starting new can be intimidating. With so many changes and my favourite extra curricular activities coming to an end, I was in need of a student group that would provide me with a sense of community and purpose.
I knew that joining a sorority would be a great way to fulfill the things that I was missing, but little did I know how much of an impact Alpha Phi would truly have in shaping me into the person I am today.
Alpha Phi has encouraged me to become the best version of myself by me allowing the opportunity to engage in our community, test my leadership skills, and drive me to achieve academic success. All while providing me with an endless amount of memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
I know that going through the recruitment process may seem a little scary, but we’re here every step of the way and were in your position once too. Recruitment is a time for you to meet and connect with the members of our sorority, whether it is through coffee dates or our formal events - whatever feels most comfortable for you. You will have the chance to gain a glimpse of what our sisterhood looks like, our values, as well as our philanthropy. University is a time of change and personal growth, and being able to share these important years with others makes your time as a student feel much more special.
I encourage anyone considering going through recruitment to take that leap of faith, because you never know what it will lead to! I have found my forever home in Alpha Phi and I know that so many young women will find their forever home in the Greek community as well.
